According to the university, &#8220;Bard employees must annually <a class="waffle-rich-text-link" href="https://www.bard.edu/humanresources/training/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">complete</a> a mandatory online training module that addresses the prevention of harassment and discrimination in the workplace, and how to respond to students or make a report.&#8221;</p>

<p>Bard College receives an “A” grade for not having a Bias Reporting System or a Bias Response Team. Bias Reporting Systems and Response Teams are systems or teams of faculty, staff, and sometimes law enforcement.</p>
<p>According to <a href="https://speechfirst.org/bias-reporting-systems/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">SpeechFirst</a>, students are “encouraged to report ‘bias incidents’ to these boards (or teams) in the name of inclusion and tolerance, but it’s often unclear what the school considers ‘bias’ in the first place. Overly broad or vague definitions of bias put all kinds of speech at risk of being reported – even unpopular speech which is protected by the First Amendment.”</p>

<p>Bard College receives an &#8220;F&#8221; grade for the Ratio of Right-Leaning Clubs to Left-Leaning Clubs. Out of a list of 20 clubs (10 from each side), <a href="https://studentactivities.bard.edu/clubs/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">the university</a> has zero right-leaning clubs compared to three left-leaning clubs. The three left-leaning clubs are Trans+, Bard Social Justice for Palestine, and Planned Parenthood Generation Action.</p>

Denied Turning Point USA Chapter

<p>Bard College receives an &#8220;F&#8221; grade for the Amount of Foreign Funding Received. According to <a href="https://sites.ed.gov/foreigngifts/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">College Foreign Gift Reporting</a>, the total amount of foreign funding the university has received is $12,758.72 per current undergraduate student. Oftentimes, foreign parties will convey their influence by funding certain courses, activities, professors, and organizations on campus. In certain cases, universities must abide by restrictions dictated by foreign parties to receive funding. In addition, there have been <a href="https://www.wsj.com/articles/top-universities-took-billions-in-unreported-foreign-funds-u-s-finds-11603226953" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reports</a> that claim that universities underreport foreign funding. The category description reads:</p>

<p>Bard College receives a &#8220;B&#8221; grade for Protests and Canceling Speakers. Students for Justice in Palestine organized a &#8220;die-in&#8221; protest one month after the Hamas attack against Israel on October 7, 2023.</p>
<p><a href="https://newvoices.org/2023/12/28/a-die-in-at-bard-college/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">New Voices said</a>, &#8220;According to the SJP organizers, the goals of the die-in were fairly simple: SJP demanded fiscal transparency &#8230; This came from the confusion about Bard&#8217;s possible investment in Israel and Bard&#8217;s Al-Quds campus.&#8221;</p>
<p>One SJP member said the goal was to &#8220;disrupt campus life in a way that anyone could participate.&#8221;</p>

<p>Bard College receives an &#8220;F&#8221; grade for Mask and Vaccine Mandates. According to the university, &#8220;Bard College is a fully <a class="waffle-rich-text-link" href="https://www.bard.edu/humanresources/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">vaccinated</a> campus, requiring that all students, faculty, and staff be fully vaccinated. In accordance with the recent CDC guidance that everyone 18 years and older should receive a booster, we are updating our vaccine mandate to require that all students, faculty, and staff receive a vaccine booster.&#8221;</p>

<p>Bard College receives an “F” grade for Required Western Civilization Courses for Students. The <a href="https://www.bard.edu/academics/curriculum/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">university</a> does not require any course or category of courses designed to teach students about the history of the United States and Western civilization.
