The University of the Pacific receives an &#8220;F&#8221; grade for Required Equity, Diversity, or Inclusion Courses for Students. The <a href="https://www.pacific.edu/academics/general-education" target="_blank" rel="noopener">university</a> requires students to complete a Diversity &amp; Inclusion Requirement course as part of its General Education program. The description says:

According to the <a href="https://ucr.fbi.gov/crime-in-the-u.s/2018/crime-in-the-u.s.-2018" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Federal Bureau of Investigation</a>, the Stockton, California violent crime rate was 1,399.61 per 100,000 people in 2018, much higher than the 2018 national average of 380.56 per 100,000 people. While campus safety is of utmost importance, it is also pertinent to consider the crime rates of the surrounding town or city as students often tend to venture off campus, especially after their freshman year.

The University of the Pacific receives a &#8220;C&#8221; grade for Required Western Civilization Courses for Students. The university does not require any Western Civilization courses or categories of courses. Under the <a href="https://www.pacific.edu/academics/general-education" target="_blank" rel="noopener">university&#8217;s</a> Civic and Global Responsibility category, students have the option to choose from &#8220;Introduction to Law and Politics in the American Political System 4&#8221; and &#8220;U.S. Government and Politics.&#8221; However, these courses can be bypassed in favor of non-Western Civilization courses.
