Wake Forest University is a private university in Winston-Salem, North Carolina with an undergraduate enrollment size of 5,472. The university was founded in 1834 in the city of Wake Forest, North Carolina and was moved to Winston-Salem, North Carolina in 1956. Nearly half of all students are involved with fraternities or sororities and even more are involved with student clubs. Students at Wake Forest University can shop and dine at the Hanes Mall, enjoy the rich history of the Piedmont Triad, and attend sporting events at the university itself. The university’s official mascot is the Demon Deacon.
